Growing up my family adopted a dog named Peter. He was a stray dog, but thought it was a mix between a Husky and a Labrador. He was a great dog and has lived up was about 15. In this age who have developed cancer and had to suspend its activity. My parents asked me to do because it was mostly my dog. At that time, I was devastated that I was asked to do. It was one of the toughest experiences of my life. I was angry against my parents for a little later.

But some thing they did was to learn that life was over. I know, conceptually, of course, and we've had our share of family and friends before to pass it. But there's nothing like that hits you directly where you take the responsibility to bring your pet to sleep. This is an experience that I have today.

Now that the article title suggests, the loss of a pet is never easy. But my experience helped me learn that sometimes you have to do some painful things in life. And I'm sure that if I do it again will be a little easier. At least I'll be a little more mentally prepared.

My wife and I have two cats and they are both about nine years as of this writing. We love, but realize they will not be forever. A day will come again when we face it. A friend recently had to put her cat down. We both knew that the cat, because we deal with their past that our friend was getting divorced. Therefore, we touched, then she fell asleep. She was sick and very old (17 years). Their quality of life is deteriorating and will not improve (most likely would worse).

Yesterday my mother-in-law put his dog of 14 years to sleep. Your name and Pebbles was, as I said in the summary was a wonderful dog.
